Teen Library Council

Teens, join the Teen Library Council (TLC) and make your voice heard! If you are a student in grades 8-12 this is your chance to help shape the future of the library. As a member, you'll get to check out new stuff before we buy it, brainstorm and promote library events, help run programs, judge contests, write for the Teen News, and so much more. Sound like something you’d like to do? Register and Danie will send you an application! Are you a 7th grader interested in seeing what the TLC is all about? Students in 7th grade are welcome to attend meetings and share ideas, but seats on the Council are limited to grades 8-12. The TLC will meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month, from 5-6 PM, at the York Public Library in the YA Hangout Room. Our first meeting of the 2026/27 school year is Monday, September 14, at 5:00 PM. Applications are also available at the library.
