Randi is the author of eight books (working on the 9th!) in the non-fiction "Death in the National Parks" series, explores the fatal mistakes people make when they venture into unfamiliar wilderness. Collected here are some the most gripping accounts in park history and new stories about people losing the battle with natural forces or perishing from their own folly. About the Book: On Mount Washington, it’s lack of preparation, not the mountain, that kills. The weather is highly changeable with wind gusts of 140 mph and -35 degree temps.
